At Mirfield Mill Carpets we genuinely believe that supporting local groups and national charities is key to a healthy economy and is good for the local community.
Mirfield Mill Carpets are proud sponsers of the Mirfield Stags...
FOUNDED in November of 2014, Mirfield Stags was born and raised in the heart of the town - signalling the official return of rugby league to the area, while plugging a gap in the Heavy Woollen District.
After a five-year absence for rugby league in Mirfield, the Stags – coached by international referee Richard Silverwood – played their first-ever fixture in January of 2015, defeating Shaw Cross Sharks in a pre-season friendly.
Working in partnership with local publican Tim Wood, owner of The Old Colonial, Mirfield Mill Carpets is also very proud to support the charity 'Help for Heroes'...
Help for Heroes is a British charity launched on 1st October 2007 to help provide better facilities for British servicemen and women who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty. It was founded by Bryn Parry OBE and his wife Emma Parry OBE after they visited soldiers at Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham. The charity was launched after a meeting with General Sir Richard Dannatt, the Chief of the General Staff, the professional head of the British Army.
